The Wave 2.0 update includes many new features & smart improvements including:
- Enhanced flexibility and richer probe libraries
- Backwall Echo Attenuation (BEA): opening new doors for the Wave in the forging and casting inspection market
- Goals:
- Decrease the overall amplitude of a backwall signal to be used as a defect detection aid via observing amplitude reduction of the back wall
- Reduce the back wall signal height to improve backwall resolution
- Compatible with all sizing methods (DAC/TCG/DGS/API/AWS)
- Goals:
- DAC, TCG, DGS, JIS
- Custom logo’s for reporting
- Ukrainian Language
- Updated Welcome Screen
- TKY, DGS, T-Log app deleted
- Demo sales’ apps are still available from the Companion
- Less confusion, these were made for sales’ purposes
- Core Ultrasound Features
- Probe Library Updates
- Recalling Saved Probes is Easy! Saving them is easy and clear!
- QCG, PQC, SSG, and PSS probe series are added
- Note:Â These series don’t have integrated wedges. It means the user must manually load the refracted angle, z offset and probe zero to match their wedge
- Customer and field-driven features (DAC, TCG, DGS, JIS)
- Manual TCG Calibration
- High traceability requirements Material specific TCG setups
- Level 3 Calibration settings can be saved and distributed to Waves for site calibration
- Full control of configurations
- High level of Repeatability
- Hint:Â Use the acquisition cursor tool as a measurement window
- Manual DGS Curve Calibration
- Similar calibration and method made in the D-20 and D-70
- Generic single crystal probes on S or L wave
- There is no dual crystal generic curve
- Positive and negative rectifications are compatible with DAC Calibration
- Logos and probes fully supported in the companion software
- A-scan Smoothing (with rectification)
