DR-63 Cleaner-Remover is used in the penetrant process to remove excess penetrants from part surfaces. It is a manual “wipe-on, wipe-off” material and, consquently, recommended for small areas. DR-63 may also be used for generally cleaning oily, dirty surfaces. DR-63 is especially suitable for cleaning prior to the application of inspection penetrants.
DR-63 meets low halogen and low sulfur requirements, it is a non-chlorinated material, it is water soluble, and it evaporates rapidly and completely. DR-63 meets AMS 2644 requirements and is listed on QPL-AMS-2644..
